The brief was for a user friendly AV set up for a room constantly used for meetings by many different bodies. There was to be the minimum of connections and ease of set and connection were of paramount importance. The room is bright and while blinds can be drawn the room cannot be darkened.
We specified a Hitachi projector of 3200 lumens as a quality machine that can be used constantly for many hours. For laptop connection etc. we used Extron eLink 100 wireless system, this consists of a transmitter and receiver unit, the receiver located at the projector with the transmitter located anywhere in the room. It is not dependent on a line of sight and will operate up to 30m. It is a plug & play unit and requires no setup, connect & show, full HD with audio if desired. The screen is located out of site in the ceiling.
Using wireless allows a very neat installation with the minimum of cabling as can be seen for the picture.
